Man Throws Lit Cans on NYC Subway Platform – NYPD Searching for Suspect

NEW YORKNew York City Police are searching for a man who allegedly threw two lit cans at a group on a subway platform in Manhattan last month.

There were no injuries reported in the incident that took place on February 5 at 7:40 pm on West 28th Street in the Chelsea neighborhood.

The NYPD released dramatic images showing the man with two flaming cans appearing to yell at people from the side of the turnstile. It was unclear what sparked the attack.

The man ran from the scene after throwing the fire.

Authorities urge anyone with information to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or, for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA.
