On the evening of July 1, the conflict between residents of the Nikolaev region ended in an explosion and serious injuries – a man threw a grenade into a car with people.
The department of communication of police of the Nikolaev area reports about it.
Information that an explosion occurred in one of the villages of the Berezansky territorial community and a man who received mine-explosive injuries was taken to the hospital was received by the police on the evening of July 1.
At the scene, law enforcement officers found out that a 26-year-old woman with her friend and another man, the driver of the car, came to a friend to pick up their documents, which he did not give for a long time.
After a short conversation, the 50-year-old man, who was in a state of intoxication, handed over the documents, however, when he saw off the visitors, he waited until they approached the car and threw a grenade into the vehicle where the 67-year-old man was.
As a result of the explosion, the driver of the passenger car received mine-explosive serious bodily injuries, including traumatic amputation of the arm and damage to internal organs. Fortunately, the other two people were not injured. As a result of the explosion, the victim’s vehicle burned down.
“The actions of the 50-year-old intruder were qualified by the investigators under Part 2 of Art. 15, paragraph 1, part 2, art. 115 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – the completed attempted murder of two or more people. The sanction of the article provides for punishment in the form of imprisonment for up to 15 years, ”said Eduard Solovyov, deputy head of the GDNP, head of the investigative department.
On the same day, police investigators detained a man in accordance with Art. 208 Code of Criminal Procedure of Ukraine. Currently, the detainee has been declared suspected of committing a crime, and today the court has chosen a measure of restraint for him in the form of detention for a period of 60 days without the right to bail. The pre-trial investigation continues.
