A 35-year-old man threatened his 32-year-old partner with a firearm in Oosterhout on Wednesday afternoon. That happened in her house while a daughter of the couple was there. A subsequent police action in the street attracted a lot of attention.
The police took the report of the threat very seriously and sent an arrest team and a negotiator to the house on Van Oldenbarneveltstraat. When officers stood in front of the house with guns drawn, the man came out himself.
A firearm with ammunition was found in the kitchen after the arrest. The man, known to the police, is still in custody.
