Process after a robbery through electronics stores
After a raid through several federal states, a 32-year-old has to answer before the regional court in Detmold, North Rhine-Westphalia. According to the indictment, he is said to have stolen smartphones and other items worth a total of 120,000 euros in 18 break-ins in electronics stores. According to investigators in Hesse, Bavaria and Baden-Württemberg, he used a self-made ram to gain access to the shops. The ram was used to smash doors or windows. From November 2019 to May 2020 there was property damage of around 70,000 euros.
The Detmold district court had already convicted the man for six similar offenses in the summer of 2020. The police had tracked him down to the offenses now accused of particularly serious robbery through DNA traces at the crime scenes.
According to the indictment, the break-ins in Hesse were in Rodgau (Offenbach), Schlüchtern (Main-Kinzig), Bad Hersfeld, Eschwege, Alsfeld (Vogelsberg) and Petersberg (Fulda).
