Man suspected of MTA bus stop shooting arrested by police

Police arrest a man suspected of opening fire at an MTA bus stop in Brooklyn.

The incident occurred on the morning of Tuesday, April 18, in the vicinity of Flatlands and Louisiana avenues in East New York.

The uniformed woman says that the man was expelled from the bus for allegedly refusing to pay for the ticket.

Members of the MTA’s fare evasion team directed him to the fare machine, and that’s when they say he pulled out a gun and shot three agency employees.

One of the MTA workers suffered a minor injury in the shooting, though it is unclear if he cut himself trying to dodge the gunfire or was grazed by the bullet.
