Jakarta –
The story of a man who survived an accident is in the spotlight, he fell from the stairs and suffered fractures in his neck, spine, ribs and around his chest. Who would have thought, this started from frequent tripping accidents with pet cats. Unfortunately, the accident experienced by a man named Chris Rowley was not light.
“I don’t remember much, the last time I just remember falling quickly down the stairs and that was in a matter of seconds, then I was at the bottom,” said Chris Rowley (59), told the Mirror.
This accident is called ‘Apocalypse Meow’, reportedly occurred in October 2023, the man who is also a professional musician was alone at home with a sphinx type kitten from Egypt.
This disaster occurred after the cat was playing around, jumped out, and stuck to one of its owner’s legs as he was descending the stairs.

The seriously injured man did not realize the extent of his injuries, but health workers said he had a skull fracture, a collar bone, two fractures in his spine, nine rib fractures, and each rib had multiple fractures. “Then there was a little injury in my lung,” he said.
After the incident, Rowley was not immediately helped, he lay on the floor for 14 hours, surrounded by a pool of his own blood, because his wife worked in child care. His cell phone was also off and he couldn’t even reach it because it was very difficult to wake up.
It wasn’t until the next morning that the vocalist’s wife arrived home and found her husband lying at the bottom of the stairs.
“I usually get home around 8.30, but that day I was stuck and I couldn’t get back until around 10.00, and I opened the door and heard him screaming and saw the blood,” explained his wife.
His wife, Jackie, then contacted emergency services who only arrived within a few minutes, then she immediately left the room because she couldn’t stand her partner’s screams.
“We don’t know how bad the injury is at the moment. They had to really anesthetize him to move him,” lamented the distraught wife.
Rowley said he couldn’t explain his pain. As if that didn’t hurt enough.
Medics took the injured cat’s owner to a trauma unit and remained there for two weeks.
“They said it would take six to 12 months for me to get back on my feet,” complained the man, who currently cannot breathe without oxygen.
