Man strangles vlogger on Leidseplein, police recognize suspect | Inland

On Saturday, a live stream got quite out of hand. An American vlogger (according to Metro it is the Twitch streamer called Reydempto) was making a video on Leidseplein. Suddenly he was approached by a man, who first put an arm around his shoulder. Then he suddenly squeezed the victim’s throat, making the vlogger unconscious. The 35-year-old later regained consciousness and made a police report on Sunday.

The American tells Metro that he had already met the boy earlier that evening. ,,He asked if I had heard of that streamer who was murdered on the street. I didn’t pay much attention to him then, but later realized he was talking about me.” According to his viewers, the man used a certain grip that caused him to squeeze his air supply. “I passed out in no time. This kid knew exactly what he was doing,” the vlogger said.

Police have not yet arrested the man. Eyewitnesses are called upon to report to the police.
