A man stole the mail from a postman in Tilburg on Monday evening and hit it directly against a tree.
The postal worker left the van unattended on Langestraat for a few seconds at around 6:30 PM, with the keys still in the ignition. When he returned, a man unknown to him was in the van. The postman tried to get the man out of the van, but he quickly ran away.
As he drove off, the man scuffed the mail deliverer, who was slightly injured. Police found the stolen bus parked against a tree not much later. In addition to being damaged, the bus was also stolen.
The suspect has fled. The Zeeland-West Brabant police asks witnesses to the theft to contact them.
