Man stabs bartender, arrested for attempted murder

(ANSA) – PIOMBINO (LIVORNO), 01 SEPTEMBER – A 33-year-old was arrested in Piombino (Livorno) last night for attempted murder by the police: he allegedly stabbed a bartender. The man, who is now in prison in Livorno, is also accused of personal injury, resisting and assaulting a public official as well as illegal possession of a weapon. According to the police findings, the 33-year-old began harassing a couple while he was in a club in Piombino. When he was pushed away by the owner of the club, he allegedly pulled out a knife and stabbed him in the abdomen, causing an injury to the abdominal wall. The injured man was taken to hospital and underwent surgery but is not thought to be in danger of life. On the same occasion, the attacker allegedly stabbed two other men who intervened to stop him, slightly injuring them. The attacker was then intercepted by the officers after a few minutes about 50 meters from the premises while he was still holding the knife with clear traces of blood all over his body. (ANSA).
