A 30-year-old stabs another man and seriously injures him. The perpetrator flees, but special forces are able to arrest him a day later.
On Friday evening, an attempted murder took place in Bremen-Gröpelingen. The attack took place in front of a house on Oslebshauser Heerstraße, police announced on Sunday.
A 26-year-old was initially harassed and attacked by a 30-year-old man. The 30-year-old was accompanied by three young people aged between 15 and 18. The 26-year-old then called his brother, who rushed to help along with another person. This led to a physical altercation in which the 30-year-old stabbed the 26-year-old in the upper body with a knife. The perpetrator and his companions then fled in a car.
The 26-year-old victim was taken to hospital with serious injuries. “As part of the police investigation, the accomplices turned themselves in to the authorities. After an intensive search, the suspected main perpetrator was arrested by special units,” report the Bremen officials.
At the request of the Bremen public prosecutor’s office, an arrest warrant was issued against the 30-year-old. Further investigations are ongoing.
