A man in his 40s was stabbed outside a flat in Tranby in Lier on Friday afternoon.
A man in his 20s has been charged with attempted murder, on-duty lawyer Ann Iren Svane Mathiassen in the Southeast police district informs NTB. The accused will be considered for custody when he is questioned. It will possibly happen on Saturday.
The police were notified of the incident just after 4 pm on Friday afternoon.
Police are on the scene and have arrested the suspect, who is a man in his 20s. The suspect was arrested in one of the apartments without drama.
The stabbed man was transported by ambulance to Ullevål hospital. The extent of the damage is currently unknown.
The police inform NRK that at the moment they do not want to go out with details about the incident, or whether there is a relationship between the two.
There were people in the area who reported to the police.

The task leader tells NRK’s reporter on the spot that the stabbing took place at the front door of the building.
Just before 6 pm, the police report that they have finished on the spot with interrogations and investigations at the scene. The case has now entered an investigation phase.
At 22 o’clock, the police state that they have not received updates about the condition of the man in his 40s other than that they know that he is alive on Friday night.
