The police were notified of the incident at 02.34 on Sunday night, when both ambulance personnel and witnesses at the petrol station made contact.
– We were notified of an ongoing stabbing inside Circle K. There is a man who was stabbed with a knife by a woman, and after this the woman fled the scene, says operations manager Atle Bernhoft van Obstfelder in the Inland police district to TV 2.
The man was transported by air ambulance to St. Olav’s Hospital.
– We do not know the degree of damage. He has lost a lot of blood, but he is stable, says the operations manager.
Shortly afterwards, the police report that the suspected perpetrator has been arrested near the petrol station. The police used large forces in search of the woman.
– We have a patrol on site to check any video recordings and other things in relation to the investigation, van Obstfelder says.
It is not yet known if there is a relationship between the woman and the victim. The man was a customer at the gas station.
– There were a number of witnesses to the incident, and they are now being questioned, says the operations manager.
