Man, die He was shot and killed on Saturday morning on the Ojamastraat in Suriname is Revinio Ondaan, 39 years old (photo). He was impressed by his neighbor Diego U. (42), who is a BBS by profession. Revinio died of gunshot wounds in the courtyard of his home address.
Shortly before the shooting, the latest victim reportedly had a problem with the shooter, who had just returned home. Revinio is said to have thrown a stone in the direction of the bulletin board officer, whereupon the bulletin board officer followed him with his service weapon into the victim’s yard. According to initial reports, the BBS man fell, after which his service weapon exploded.
During the investigation it emerged that the victim would have been shot in the chest and abdomen. The victim also suffered two gunshot wounds and a graze on her right leg. Five shell casings were found and seized in the immediate vicinity of the victim.
At the scene, some local residents expressed their relief at the victim’s death. The man is said to have constantly harassed local residents. He also allegedly broke a neighbor’s arm. The Flora police had to take action against the man more often. Despite police intervention, the victim was a nuisance to local residents.
“It had an unfavorable reputation in the area,” police said. According to the neighbors, he was suffering from PCS and attacked the neighbors more often.
The man from the BBS was arrested by the Flora carabinieri and transferred to the police headquarters for indictment. His service weapon was seized in the interest of the investigation. The case was handed over to the Capital Crimes on the spot for further investigation.
