Man shoots bullets on photo of Wilders, PVV leader reports

Geert Wilders is going to report an online video in which someone with a firearm fires bullets at an image of the PVV leader. The video can be seen on the websites Dumpert and GeenStijl.

“It’s getting crazier with threats,” Wilders said in a response to the NOS. “I hope that the Public Prosecution Service will finally take action against threateners.”

The man holding the firearm is the Turkish Dutchman Sait Cinar. According to de Volkskrant in 2014, he was sentenced to 60 days in prison, 44 of which are suspended, for sedition in a video on Facebook.

“This is freedom of speech,” Cinar said before firing the bullets. “This is a Geert Wilders cartoon,” he adds. It is not clear where the video was shot. Cinar may be staying in Turkey.
