Berlin (dpa / bb) – A man is said to have seriously injured his partner in Berlin-Haselhorst with a screwdriver – a day later he was arrested.
The 34-year-old is suspected of using a tool to attack his partner in a friend’s apartment on Burscheider Weg on Saturday evening, the police said on Sunday. The woman suffered a life-threatening stab injury. The man initially fled. An emergency doctor took care of the 31-year-old – she was hospitalized in the intensive care unit.
On Sunday morning, the man is said to have rioted in front of the acquaintance’s door. The alarmed officers arrested him. The security forces suspect that he was under the influence of drugs and alcohol. He is due to be brought before a judge on Monday.
