Bergens Tidende put the man in a truck that overturned. He was in and out of consciousness before he was flown to Haukeland.

Service station manager Kjell Idar Vangberg in the Nordhordland police station district tells the newspaper that the Norwegian Labor Inspection Authority has been notified and that the police have opened a case.

– This is a very large truck that has overturned. The man was thrown from the truck and was injured. The cab is approximately three meters above the ground, so he has fallen several metres, says Vangberg.

He says the man’s injuries are not life-threatening, but that he is seriously injured and will probably have to be operated on during the day. The police have interviewed a number of witnesses who were at the scene.

– It is possible that it is a soft surface that caused the truck to overturn. The man has all the papers in order. We have secured a number of things on site, says Vangberg.
