A man is seriously injured after being stabbed at an ATM. One person has been arrested.

The police in Oslo report contact with a man who has a stab wound to the leg.
– He has a stab wound to the leg that matches what the man explains to the police about being stabbed with a knife.
The man was first taken to the emergency room.
– He has been sent on to hospital, seriously injured, says operations manager Tor Gulbrandsen to VG.
He says it appears to be a random robbery, and the police are taking the case seriously.
– The man has explained that he was at an ATM when two people came and took a bag from him. They then allegedly stabbed him with a sharp object. We are trying to find out whether this is a knife or another sharp object.
In an update just before 02:00, the police write that they have come into contact with a man in the local area who has explained that he was a witness.
– We have now linked him to the incident and arrested him.
– It was a person whom the patrols had seen on several occasions in the area. If what we believe links this person to the crime turns out to hold water, we also have hopes of finding the other perpetrator, Gulbrandsen elaborates to VG.
He says traces of blood have been found at the scene, and the police are carrying out crime scene investigations.
The police still want to get in touch with witnesses who may have seen something.
Gulbrandsen says the man was bleeding profusely, so that the patrol had to initiate first aid while they drove the man to the emergency room.
