An eighteen-year-old resident of Schiedam was seriously injured in a shooting at PJ Troelstralaan in Schiedam. Later that day, the suspected gunman, a 21-year-old man from Vlaardingen, reported to the police station. He was arrested for that.
According to the police, the victim was not approachable and was taken to hospital in a worrying condition. The shooting incident happened just before 1.30 pm.
Officers were able to quickly calm a disturbance by emotional bystanders. A 22-year-old from Schiedam was arrested. His role in the incident is still under investigation, police said.
