Man seriously injured in power outage in Lelystad

A large part of Lelystad was hit by a power outage tonight. Flevoland broadcaster reports that, according to the police, it was caused by a man working on electricity.

The man was seriously injured and was taken to hospital. It is not known who it concerns. A spokesperson for network operator Liander said it was not an employee of the company.

As a result of the outage, the district heating in Lelystad stopped working. The municipal council meeting was also hindered. Ultimately, it was decided to stop the meeting.

The malfunction was resolved around 8.45 pm.
