EThe 49-year-old was seriously injured in an accident with an e-scooter in Erlenbach am Main (Miltenberg district). The man wanted to turn left with the scooter on Friday when a car hit him from behind without braking, the police said on Saturday. According to a witness, the e-scooter driver was thrown through the air by the impact.
The 48-year-old driver then stopped his car and fled on foot. He was later picked up by the police. He slightly injured an officer when he was arrested. According to the police, the driver was driving with around one per thousand alcohol in the blood and without a driver’s license.
The e-scooter driver was taken to the hospital with serious injuries. There is no danger to life, the police said on Saturday when asked.
