Man Sentenced to Nine Years in Prison for Planning to Kill Britain’s Queen Elizabeth with Crossbow in 2021

The man who wanted to kill Britain’s Queen Elizabeth with a crossbow in 2021 will spend nine years in prison. He also received a suspended sentence of another five years, it was reported British media.

A judge in London finds the man guilty of death threats, possession of weapons and treason because he wanted to attack the queen.

Two years ago, 21-year-old Jaswant Singh Chail entered the grounds of Windsor, the private residence of Elizabeth, who died last year, on Christmas Day. He used a rope ladder for this. The Briton of Indian descent held the queen personally responsible for the massacre during the British colonial period in 1919 in the Indian city of Amritsar and wanted to take revenge on her.

Chail planned his failed attack with the help of artificial intelligence. The chatbot had also encouraged him to go to the castle. He also exchanged thousands of sexually explicit messages with the bot.

The man is currently admitted to a psychiatric hospital and will remain there for the time being. When he is stable enough, he will be transferred to a prison. Chail is the first person in the UK to be convicted of treason since 1981.
