John also faces 20 years of post-release supervision as part of his sentence.
Gonzalez said according to evidence, on Aug. 16, 2020, at around 2:30 a.m. near Rockaway Avenue in Canarsie, the young woman was walking home from a party when John, who was unknown, gave her a ambush behind.
