A 40-year-old was provisionally arrested on Saturday in Heilbronn after punching and kicking and threatening travelers on a train.
Around 11 a.m., the man is said to have ridden in the regional express from Würzburg in the direction of Stuttgart and insulted and threatened the train attendant so violently after the ticket inspection that she fled from the man into the driver’s cab. Due to the high level of aggressiveness of the 40-year-old, he suddenly hit two travelers on the train before other passengers could take him off the train at Friedrichshall station, as the Heilbronn Federal Police announced on Tuesday.
Before the alarmed emergency services arrived, the man probably got on the next train in the direction of Heilbronn. On arrival at Heilbronn train station, however, the 40-year-old was finally provisionally arrested by a patrol from the federal police.
The 40-year-old was taken to a special clinic due to his persistent aggressiveness and the associated psychological emergency. He is now being investigated on suspicion of bodily harm, insult and threat, among other things. According to previous information from the federal police, no people were injured in the incident.
In particular, the injured parties, the passengers who took the man off the train, but also witnesses who can provide information about the incident, are asked to contact the investigating Federal Police Station in Heilbronn on +07131 8882600.
