Stuttgart (dpa / lsw) – The fire brigade and other emergency services rescued a visitor from the tower of the Freiburg Cathedral. The man collapsed on Monday at a height of about 60 meters on a narrow spiral staircase due to a medical emergency, a spokesman for the fire brigade said on Monday in Freiburg.
Two firefighters, an emergency doctor and an emergency paramedic climbed the narrow stairs to the injured person and brought him to a platform 50 meters high. The man was then given medical care there. With the help of a construction elevator from the Münsterbauhütte, the rescue workers then brought the man down from the tower. An ambulance drove the injured to a hospital.
