Lubomir received a year and a half suspended prison term with 3.5 years of probation for draining the bank account of his dead wife Krasimira.
The district court in Plovdiv imposed a fine of BGN 4,000 on him.
The indictment alleges that he made several withdrawals from his wife’s bank card a few days after her death without the consent of her heirs. The withdrawals have a total value of BGN 4,000, reports “Maritsa”.
The sentence is subject to protest and appeal within 15 days before the Court of Appeal.
At the same time, with the questioning of witnesses and experts behind closed doors, the case against Lubo continues in connection with the accusation of murdering his wife on September 11, 2020.
