A man in the US state of Pennsylvania has been sentenced to 14 years in prison for his role in the storming of the Capitol in Washington. It is the longest sentence to date for someone on trial for the attack on January 6, 2021.
During the storm, Peter Schwartz threw a chair at police officers and attacked them with pepper spray. The 49-year-old man, who has a long “criminal history”, was on parole at the time. According to CNN played a role in determining the sentence.
