A man was thrown onto the tracks of a New York City subway station after trying to intervene in a fight on Saturday, police said.
The 64-year-old man moved to intervene at the 125th Street station in East Harlem and approached the group on the northbound Line 6 train platform, New York City Police said Sunday.
Instead, the man was pushed onto the tracks where he suffered a laceration to his leg before reaching safety.
A 38-year-old suspect was taken into custody on charges of reckless endangerment, harassment and assault.
