Today a commotion in a department store in the Kerkstraat in Blankenberge: a man clashed with an employee and used a gun to keep the personnel away and to flee. It was a result of what happened yesterday: he was short of a few cents to buy a can of beer and then walked away, not without kicking an employee.
Today he came back, was recognized and a brawl ensued. First, the supermarket employee received a few punches, then the man pulled a gun and pointed it at him while fleeing the supermarket. Police came to the scene to collect testimonials and view camera footage. The man has since been arrested, close to a recycling park on the outskirts of the municipality.
