The New York police issued an alert leading to the capture of a pervert who sexually assaulted a couple of women early this Saturday morning.
Through the images of a security camera it was possible to verify that an individual circulates on an electric bicycle in search of ladies who walk alone back to their homes or to go to their work centers in Manhattan.
Apparently, the aggressor sneaks up and catches his victims from behind, without them being able to do anything to defend themselves.
Girls alone and at dawn
The first indications indicate that the bike man’s first victim was a young woman walking on Central Park West and West 82nd Street about four in the morning on Saturday.
Later, in another video shot where he indicates that it’s past five in the morning, you can see another woman being subdued by the assailant on East Fourth Street and Avenue A on the Lower East Side.
According to the authorities, the individual operates alone and approaches his victims at random, but once he subdues them in a matter of seconds, he forces them to allow themselves to be raped, since the testimonies of the two victims agree that he intimidates them by mentioning that he is carrying a sharp object.
The scant information provided so far suggests that the first girl attacked was 23 years old; while the second does not exceed 28 years.
In this sense, the first attack carried out by the individual was not riding the bicycle, as it is believed that he left it parked a few meters behind and then at full speed reached his victim to knock her down from behind.
Later, the same man appears on the bicycle approaching the second woman to corner her and then attack her without anyone being able to help her, because at that time no other person is circulating in the place.
For security reasons for the injured girls and their families, the police withheld their names, but opened an investigation folder with the aim of revealing clues about the pervert’s identity.
