Man Killed Suspected of Suicide Jumping from 2nd Floor of West Jakarta Mall

A man with the initials CS (57) is suspected of committing an action commit suicide by jumping from the 2nd floor in a times in the West Jakarta area, Thursday (19/8) afternoon.

The Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Kembangan Police, AKP Ferdo, said that his party received information about the incident from the mall manager and immediately checked the location.

“After receiving information, we from the Kembangan Police went to the scene to check the scene and found a body and died in a prone position,” said Ferdo when contacted, Thursday (19/8).

From the results of the crime scene, said Ferdo, it was suspected that the victim died by suicide. This allegation was corroborated by the discovery of a will.

“It is suspected that he committed suicide because there was a will he made for his family,” he said.

Ferdo revealed that the will contained an apology from the victim to his family and a complaint about the illness he suffered.

Ferdo said that his party would also ask for information from the family regarding the findings of the will.

“(The contents of the will) the point is he apologized to the family, both complained of pain,” Ferdo said.

Furthermore, Ferdo said that his party would check the CCTV footage at the scene to determine whether it was a suicide.

“We will check the CCTV for further investigation to ensure that this is a suicide,” he said.
