A resident of Bulusan Village, Karangdowo District, Klaten, named Suyadi (56), had the heart to kill Harto Sudarno (82), who was his neighbor. Harto was killed after taking a bag of sand in front of Suyadi’s house.
“The motive and method was because the suspect was annoyed by the victim’s actions in taking one plastic sack of sand from his possession and was about to repeat it to take it a second time,” explained Klaten Police Chief AKBP Warsono to journalists during a press conference at Klaten Police Headquarters, as reported by detikJatimMonday (4/3/2024) afternoon.
Warsono said the victim took sand in front of the perpetrator’s house on Sunday (3/3) at around 02.00 WIB. The perpetrator who was sleeping at that time finally woke up.
When the victim wanted to collect sand for the second time at around 02.45 WIB, the perpetrator immediately left the house. The perpetrator then pushed the victim until he fell.
“The perpetrator quietly left the house and pushed the victim from behind until he fell face down. Then he sat on his back and hit the victim’s head with his right hand repeatedly,” he said.
Then Suyadi also hit the victim on the head with a brick four times on the back of the victim’s head. After the victim was helpless, he was dragged into a ditch.
“When the victim was helpless, he was dragged about 30 meters into the water channel along with the victim’s bicycle. At around 06.30 WIB, the floating victim was found by a neighbor who was about to throw away rubbish,” he explained.
