The Attorney General’s Office (FGR) reported that Luis Ramírez was sentenced to 16 years in prison for having sexually assaulted a 6-year-old girl in the municipality of Apopa.
Ramírez’s attacks happened in 2021, when he was caring for the minor, and he began to touch her inappropriately and also neglected the minor’s health.
In addition, the FGR indicated that some of the girl’s relatives who were outside the country came to visit her and noticed that she was feeling bad, so they immediately filed a complaint.
The accused was acquitted once, but the Prosecutor’s Office managed to get the Third Criminal Chamber to carry out a new trial in order to achieve justice for the girl and her family.
