Man injured by stab wound in Padua: alleged attacker arrested

(ANSA) – PADUA, 04 NOV – A man is hospitalized in Padua hospital, not in serious condition, after being injured by a stab inflicted by a person who has already been stopped by the police who are examining his position. The incident occurred in the Euganean city in the afternoon where the police were activated following a report that a man had been stabbed while he was in a car. The officers arrived on the scene alerting 118 who rescued the victim who had an obvious wound to the chest caused by a stabbed weapon. The police, having collected the descriptions provided by the victim, tracked down a person not far away corresponding to the information received: the suspect was then taken to the police station and his position is currently being examined by investigators and the local Public Prosecutor’s Office. The agents of the flying squad and the forensic police also intervened on site and seized the murder weapon, a knife soaked in traces of blood. Investigations are continuing to better define and contextualize the incident while the condition of the victim hospitalized at the Padua hospital is stable. (HANDLE).
