Police in the Australian state of New South Wales are chasing a man infected with corona who has been ‘fleeing’. The man who tested positive has since been labeled ‘public enemy number one’ and a warrant for his arrest has been issued.

Australian media report about this. Anthony Karam, 27, was told on August 14 that he was infected with the coronavirus and that he would have to quarantine for two weeks. Karam refused to comply with that request. According to the Australian authorities, he continues to mingle with people and managed to escape by giving a false address.
Police have launched a search for the man. “Anthony has not been able to isolate himself as directed by the Public Health Order and despite numerous attempts by the police to locate him, he has not been able to do so,” said a spokesman. The number of infections in New South Wales, which also includes the capital Sydney, is increasing rapidly. The police have issued an arrest warrant to find Karam as soon as possible and limit the ‘damage’.
Karam has been seen several times in an elevator on security camera footage. He is also said to have been seen “coughing” when he entered an apartment complex.
