On Thursday afternoon, AMK was notified of a traffic accident on Saudavegen in the Fagervik area. An elderly man in a wheelchair has been hit from behind by a car near Fagervik.

The accident is said to have taken place in an 80-zone, according to operations manager Brit Randulff in the South-West police district.
– We treat this as a serious traffic accident, Randullf says to TV 2.
She also says that the man is conscious, and that he receives treatment from health personnel on site.
The man was flown to Stavanger University Hospital, the police tweeted at 19.18.
