It was in 2015 that the producer living in Chicago – Phoelix – made a name for himself, keyboardist during a concert by Saba. He continues his momentum and works the voices on the project Bucket List Project of the latter but also on the long-awaited Telephone by the American rapper and poet Noname, released in 2016. But it was in 2018 that we discovered it on a personal project only released on SoundCloud “ingenuous”an experimental project of deep electronic soul, visceral melancholy and lofi – incidentally composed and recorded lying in bed. He then released the 18-track album TEMPO during the year 2018 with beautiful featurings like Jean Deaux, Nemo, Dax and Elton Aura.
Mix of neo-soul, funk, R&B and rap Phoelix is a child of the jazz, blues and soul scene of his adopted city of Chicago. Today, he is releasing a 4-track called PUT IT ON ME, sweet mix of soul, rap, melancholic punk music. We let you listen:
