Police arrest man suspected of committing stabbing against a mother named Siti Rohani (50) and her child, Melinda (26), in Mustikajaya, Bekasi City. The perpetrator was wearing a ‘police’ vest when carrying out the action.

“Yes, we have arrested them,” said the Bantargebang Police Chief, Kompol Samsono, when asked for confirmation, Saturday (2/7/2022).

Samsono has not yet explained the details of the man’s identity. He also hasn’t explained the motive stabbing that.

“The details will be released on Monday at the (Bekasi City) Police,” he said

Stabbing Chronology

The stabbing of Siti and Melinda in Mustikajaya, Bekasi City, shocked the residents. The motive for the unidentified man’s stabbing is not yet known.

Melinda had chased the perpetrator and tried to prevent the perpetrator from escaping by asking residents for help. However, it is suspected that the residents did not know the problem so they were deceived by the perpetrators.

The perpetrators were even questioned by residents. The perpetrator even accused the victim of being involved in drugs and then fled when asked about the assignment letter.

Samsono said that his party could not confirm whether the perpetrators were actually members of the police or not. Samsono said his party was still investigating the perpetrator.

“So we can’t confirm whether it’s a police officer or not, because the witness’s confession was wearing a police shirt. We haven’t made sure that the police are right or not. We’re still investigating,” said Samsono when contacted. detik.comFriday (1/7).

Perpetrators Come Looking for Victim’s Husband

Samsono said the incident occurred on Thursday (30/6) at around 18.00 WIB. Samsono said the perpetrator came to the victim’s house alone pretending to ask the victim’s husband.

“The perpetrator parked on the side of the highway or in front of the victim’s house, then the perpetrator knocked on the victim’s door. After the victim opened the door, the perpetrator asked the victim’s husband,” said Samsono when asked for confirmation, Friday (1/7).

At that time Siti Rohani replied that her husband had not yet returned. But the perpetrator then entered and closed the door from the inside.

“Victim Melinda told (to the perpetrator) not to close the door,” he said.

Unexpectedly, the perpetrator took a knife from the bag and threw it at Melinda’s body. Not long after, the perpetrator stabbed Siti Rohani.
