The man was stabbed several times, probably in a subway car. He is seriously injured.
The report of the stabbing reached the police at 18.11.
The police then moved to Jernbanetorget in central Oslo. The victim was outside Oslo City.
– The accident probably occurred in a subway car and we have now stopped the subway in Manglerud, write the police.
The accused man was taken to hospital seriously injured but conscious.
– The extent of the damage is that the victim was stabbed several times in the upper body, probably in the head, police write.
The police want to contact all witnesses who saw the accident.
Third party control
– We learn at the scene that there is a relationship between the victim and the suspect. We have the suspect’s name and are trying to call him, says foreman Anders Rønning at the scene.
Rønning informs VG that the police are in control and are questioning a third person, who was with the victim and the suspect.
– There are some affirmative comments from the injured party, which means that we are targeting a named person, he says.
According to Rønning, it appears that the third person knows both involved.
Several patrols are now looking for the suspect.
– We have a good description of the possible perpetrator, and it must have been a person, says operations director Guro Sandnes.
Outside the Oslo City Mall, at the entrance to Jernbanetorget Metro Station, there are several police cars. Police have cordoned off an area.

I do not know the reason
– We are now working on the site to secure the tracks, video surveillance, secure the witnesses who observed it and are trying to get in touch with the named person, says the activity manager.
– Did you receive any explanations from the victim?
– No, the person in question is now fully focused on health and life-saving measures, so we can inform ourselves later when the situation allows, says Rønning.
The police still don’t know the reason for the stabbing:
– We don’t know much yet, we haven’t come into contact with any witnesses who might have observed him here. But things indicate that something happened beforehand that developed, Rønning says.
Police believe there is no danger to others.
