Man in his 60s investigated for not reporting deaths of elderly couple in Daejeon apartment

The Dongbu Police Station in Daejeon announced on the 30th that it was investigating a man in his 60s who was arrested on suspicion of not reporting to the police after finding a relative who had died inside the house. Mr. A is suspected of leaving the scene without reporting it after visiting a relative’s house in Dong-gu, Daejeon recently and seeing the bodies of a married couple in their 80s who were found dead inside the house. The deceased couple in their 80s were found dead in their apartment at 11:30 am on the 15th. After receiving a call from a family member who said they could not reach the couple, the police went to the scene and checked their bodies. At the time of discovery, the body was in a state of considerable decomposition, and it is known that the murder suspect has not yet been confirmed. Afterwards, the police analyzed the apartment closed-circuit TV (CCTV) video and secured the identity of Mr. A after finding out the circumstances in which Mr. A had escaped the scene without taking any action even though he had seen the corpses of the couple, who were relatives.
