Police arrested a man in his 30s who killed a woman in retaliation for reporting assault.
A man in his 30s who killed his partner two hours after receiving a report of dating violence said he killed his partner to retaliate.
Seoul Geumcheon Police Station urgently arrested a man in his 30s on suspicion of murder.
Mr. A, who was taken to the police station, answered yes to the reporter’s question if he had retaliated against the report of dating assault, but said that it was an accidental crime.
Mr. A is suspected of stabbing and killing a woman in her 40s several times with a weapon in the underground parking lot of a shopping mall in Siheung-dong, Geumcheon-gu, Seoul today (26th) at around 7:20 am.
It was confirmed that at around 5:30 am, two hours before the incident, the victim reported to the police that Mr. A assaulted him on the street, changed his password, and prevented him from entering the house.
After receiving a report that there were blood stains in the underground parking lot, the police tracked down Mr. A and caught Mr. A in a rental car parked in a residential area in Paju, Gyeonggi-do around 3:30 pm today.
The victim’s body was found in the back seat of the vehicle at the time.
The police are investigating the specific motive and circumstances of the crime against Mr. A.
