Man in Critical Condition Following Work Accident in East Broughton, Quebec

EAST BROUGHTON, Que. — A man is fighting for his life following a work accident in East Broughton, in the Chaudière-Appalaches region.

According to initial information from the Sûreté du Québec (SQ), the accident occurred at the scene of an agricultural mechanics business on Wednesday afternoon, around 2:15 p.m.

“A man in his 60s who was at the scene suffered serious injuries. He was transported to the hospital center and we fear for his life, ”said Sergeant Béatrice Dorsainville, spokesperson for the Sûreté du Québec.

Few details were immediately available, but it is known that the accident occurred outside.

“An investigator (from the SQ) and an investigator from the CNESST are on the scene for the investigation which is in progress”, specified the spokesperson for the SQ.
