Around 20.40, the main rescue center received a Mayday message from a person in a boat. Rescue helicopters and several vessels are on their way, he wrote Twitter.
Ten minutes later, HRS reports that a fireboat from Flekkefjord has located the person in question.
– It is a man who has grounded with a boat and dener partially sunk. For the time being, the fire brigade is on site and confirms that things are going well with the person in question, says rescue leader Toralf Juva to TV 2 at 9 pm.
The rescue helicopter that was previously on its way has turned. The lifeboat will investigate whether wreckage needs to be cleared, Juva states.
The man was alone in the boat and managed to get ashore before the boat sank.
