“Man in 50s Arrested for Making Threats Against Nav Employees in Bergen City Centre”

On Monday afternoon, the police went to the Nav office in Valkendorfsgaten in the city centre.

– A man in his 50s was arrested in connection with the fact that he had made threats against Nav employees, says operations manager at the West police district, Tore André Brakstad.

At present, he cannot say anything about what threats the man is said to have made.

– He was arrested without any drama, but the police were armed because of the content of the threats.

According to Lars Morten Lothe, police station chief at Bergen city center police station, tells BA that some employees contacted the police.

– The man made some threatening statements. Some employees noticed them and called the police.

The police know the man from the past.
