A bizarre hostage situation with a spectacular outcome. A 27-year-old man opened fire on Tuesday and took customers hostage in the Apple Store on Leidseplein in Amsterdam. He wanted bitcoins and threatened to blow himself up. The man who was taken hostage eventually gave a heroic sprint that allowed the police to overpower the gunman.
