Man Hospitalized after Being Hit by Tram in Marseille City

The victim did not hear the gong of the tram which alerted him to his arrival. He was hospitalized.

A tram accident. This Thursday around 2 p.m., a man in his fifties was hit by a T2 tram, at the level of Avenue du Marechal Foch in the Marseille city, learned BFM Marseille Provence from the RTM.

While he was crossing the roadway of the tram, the victim did not hear the gong of the latter which alerted the pedestrian of his arrival. Seeing the latter, the tram driver braked, but failed to stop him in time and crashed into the man.

Hospitalized after shock

The victim was taken to hospital by firefighters. His vital prognosis is not engaged.

Six stations were not served during the intervention, but traffic resumed around 3:15 p.m.
