Man from Virginia wins Powerball twice within a single draw.

A man in Virginia won twice in the Powerball in the same drawing.

Ben Baker turned out double winner in the March 4 print run.

The Virginia Lottery confirmed that the Covington player bought 10 raffle tickets. Two of these tickets matched four of the numbers winners plus Powerball.

Normally, the above would mean $50,000 in profit. However, when buying the tickets, the man bet $1 more on each ticket with the Power Play option.

The Power Play triples each prize up to $150,000, for total winnings of $300,000.

“¡I was really lucky!” Baker exclaimed upon receiving the money from Virginia Lottery CEO Kelly T. Gee.

The winning numbers for the March 4 draw were: 10-16-18-40-66, and the Powerball, 16. The man got the tickets at Food Lion en1005 South Craig Avenue.

The winner plans to use part of the money for home repairs and save the rest.
