A 33-year-old man from the municipality of Coevorden injured three people in Gees last night in a stabbing incident, the police reported. This happened in a holiday home at De Kamp on a holiday park in Gees.
The suspect has been arrested and is in custody. He was also injured in the stabbing incident.
Around 02:00 last night, the police received a report of a conflict at the holiday park. Officers on the spot see that the suspect is holding another man under the threat of a knife. Two men are still present in the holiday home. The police eventually use a stun gun to bring the situation under control. As a result, the suspect was unconscious.
Two men aged 29 and 43 from the municipality of Coevorden were immediately taken to hospital because of their injuries. The same applies to the 33-year-old suspect. A witness was also taken to hospital for treatment after questioning at the police station.
The police are still investigating traces in the holiday home and the witnesses are still being heard.
