City Man Malang who allegedly did fraud admitted that he had spent the victim’s money totaling Rp. 69.7 billion during the 4 months he disappeared leaving his wife and children. He admitted that the money he took away was now only Rp. 7 million.
Reported detikJatim, Wednesday (28/6/2023), the man who was reported missing by his family was named Fitra Ardhita Nurullisha (31), a resident of Jalan Pinangsia, Jatimulyo Village, Lowokwaru District, Malang City. He disappeared 4 months leaving his wife and children after allegedly embezzling billions of rupiah.
Fitra admitted that the money collected from the victims had been used up for the cost of escaping. Before being caught, he admitted that he only had Rp. 7 million of the tens of billions that had been collected.
“The remaining Rp. 7 million is to cover the profits of other investors, which in the end is only that much (7 million),” he said when presented at a press conference at the Malang City Police Headquarters, Tuesday (27/6/2023).
Previously, Fitra argued that he was determined to run away because he was unable to pay the profits of the victims. Until finally he was arrested by the Malang City Police Criminal Investigation Unit at a hotel in the Blimbing area, Malang City on Monday (6/26/2023) afternoon.
Fitra was once wanted by dozens of people who felt cheated by the investment he offered. The case of Fitra’s disappearance went viral on social media shortly after his family made a report of Fitra’s loss since saying goodbye to work on Monday, March 27.
Not only hiding in Malang, Fitra admitted to the police and journalists that he had been hiding in Jakarta. “I was in Jakarta (when it was reported missing),” said Fitra.
