According to the mayor of Hestroff, Pierre Lounissi, the victim, originally from Thionville, had spent the day of Friday on the site of the Fort aux frescoes, this small work of the Maginot Line in the wood of Bousse, to carry out works of restoration. He was accompanied by a friend, aged about sixty. Both had spent the night there, in the forest.
