Man found dead in water after bicycle accident between Oslo and Nordre Follo – NRK Norway – Overview of news from different parts of the country

On Sunday, a cyclist was found dead at Sværsvann between Oslo and Nordre Follo. The cyclist was a man in his 50s. Relatives were notified, the police contacted NRK.

– A witness told the police that he had seen a bicycle on the side of the road and that he was afraid that there had been an accident, because it is steep down to the water right by the side of the road, says a police lawyer on call Linda Tingesdal to NRK.

The police moved out and found the man in the water shortly before 5pm.

– He was pronounced dead at the scene. It all appears like a terrible accident. It is routinely autopsied. but nothing indicates that it is anything other than an accident, says Tingesdal.
